Thats it. My first whopper of a fortune spent on the perfect little black dress. After searching for a month it finally came back up for sale on the l.k.bennett website and with only 2 left in my size it was now or never….DUM DUM DUUUUUMM.
After all it is for my exhibition private view party so i have to give the impression that i am an upcoming artist and business woman of the future. ha i joke. No really i bought it because it has a low back, j’adore low back dresses.
So now a nervous await for this beauty to arrive in the post, fingers crossed it looks fabulous.
And now a search for the perfect LBS (little black shoes)
I’m a sucker for open backed dresses. just to show off my tattoo ouii. yes I’ve spent far too much here, but its an investment (thats what I’m repeating in my mind) as i can wear it for when i go to see tennis at wimbledon, and for my grad ball next year and possibly for graduation. i joke. i will buy a new dress for every occasion I’m sure. ahh well, free next day delivery….luuuush :)
Do you have any advice for us aspiring to pursue fashion design in university? Is it difficult to get in?
hello! although i don’t study fashion design, (my actual course is called BA hons in visual communication, specialising in fashion illustration) i think the same advise goes for all design courses; you really need to do a foundation diploma in art and design before you study a BA degree. I have seen so many people on my course struggling because they have not done one these courses. It really helped me put together a strong portfolio and developed my projects to a higher level.
All the advise i can give you is make sure this is something you really want to do, as long as you are passionate it will show in your work and the tutors will see that when you are applying for university. If you have got that drive it will be easy to get into whatever university suits you!
hope that has helped in some way, thanks for looking at my blog :)
